Technical Team

Our technical team is the engine behind our success throughout these years. They are specialized in system development and design, training, implementation, testing of products and building custom and enterprise applications. They are also trained to solve corporate problems given the constraints of the Ghanaian and West African environment and infrastructure.

Project Management Team 

Our project management ensures projects are completed within scope and delivered on time. They also make sure projects are delivered within budget and are also responsible for effective delivery of all projects.The team is made up of multidisciplinary consultants with the capacity to address complex and technical computerization issues to smoothen and execute any project successfully.

Our administration team has the responsibility of ensuring that the administrative activities within our organization run efficiently, providing structure to other employees throughout the organization. HEI – JULOR Product Team

The Hei – Julor team is responsible for guiding the success of our emergency alert system. The team is made up of sales, marketing, and customer service personnel. They produce and review product specifications and requirements,  research new ideas and technologies to improve the product and also ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to ensure all problems are solved in the quickest possible time.

HERMAN KOJO CHINERY-HESSE
Chairman

Affectionately known as the “Bill Gates of Africa”, Herman is a software engineer by profession.   He is a strong believer in the power of information technology and its capacity to transform Africa socially, politically and economically. He strongly believes IT is the best and most efficient “opportunity for rapid wealth creation on the continent.” The desire he has to see Africa develop, coupled with his determination to contribute to its growth that led him to co-found TheSOFTtribe limited.   Nearly 21 years after its establishment, TheSOFTtribe (SOFT) has become the leading software house in West Africa. Herman holds a number of directorships and is an Assessor of the Commercial Court, Ghana. He has won a number of personal awards including Outstanding Ghanaian Professional from the GPA Awards (UK), as well as the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Texas State Alumni Association and Texas State University-San Marcos (USA)—the first and currently only African recipient of the award.

TETTEH ANTONIO

Chief Executive Officer

Tetteh is a Chemical Engineer by training. He holds an Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration (EMBA) with specialization in Project Management. He has extensive work experience in the service and manufacturing sectors of the Ghanaian Economy. Prior to joining SOFT, Tetteh worked as an Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, overseeing many financial audits servicing clients all across Ghana and the West African sub-region. He was part of the team charged with the task of restructuring African Concrete Products Limited (ACP Ltd), the largest precast concrete manufacturer in the West African sub-region.

Tetteh is an exceptionally hard worker and a natural leader. After only 4 years of service, he was promoted to the high office of General Manager, setting the record as the youngest General Manager in the Company’s fifty-four-year-old history.

DAVID KWAMENA BOLTON

Technical Director

At the age of 15, David founded ACE (UK), which specialized in the development of bespoke software applications, eventually specializing in medical software systems for GP’s which were recommended by National Health Service (NHS) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). This gave David huge international publicity due to his young age. He was dubbed in the UK press as the “Computer Whiz kid” and received an official letter of congratulations from the then British Prime Minister. Upon the formal invitation from the Government of Ghana, David relocated to Ghana from the United Kingdom and founded a software development house, where he specialized in public sector computerization and undertaking projects such as the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Finance and the Ghana Co-operative Bank. The company later specialized in software-development for Ghanaian banks.

PENELOPE BROOKE THOMPSON

Chief Operating Officer

Penelope is a business leader with expertise in Project Management, Strategy and Operations Management in Africa. Her academic background is in Economics, Finance, and Management. She has special people relationship and negotiation skills as a result of having worked with, and under, people from very diverse backgrounds. She is known for her cognitive flexibility, and hence being able to find creative ways of solving complex problems. Before the COO role, she was responsible for managing all the projects at SOFT.

Penelope possesses over four years’ experience in Education Management and Teaching. Prior to SOFT, she taught Competitive Strategy, Operations Management, and Leadership at Ashesi University. She was also the Head of Academics at a private school with over 800 students in Kumasi where she was responsible for devising strategies to improve teaching and learning. She holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University and a BA in Economics from KNUST. For her masters, she graduated as Class Valedictorian and was awarded Best MBA Finance Related Programmes Student and Overall Best Masters Programmes Student.
