He undertook public sector computerization projects in organizations such as the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Finance and the Ghana Co-operative Bank. The company later specialized in software-development for Ghanaian banks. During this period, he was appointed by the former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings, as a Board Member of the Information Technology Planning Group (ITPG), a group tasked to advise the Ghanaian Government on Information Technology policy. He was also appointed a consultant to the State Enterprises Commission (SEC) as an IT analyst. In the UK, David has worked as a consultant to Woolwich Bank in Kent as an IT Analyst.
